Avalanche and mountain safety course

This is our own avalanche & mountain safety course where you gain knowledge to make safer decisions in the mountains. A full day out in the terrain with a focus on recognizing and understanding avalanche terrain, being able to use avalanche forecasts, making the right decisions and comrade rescue to be able to save a friend if an avalanche accident would occur. We also dig snow profiles and look at different layers of snow, talk about decision-making processes, assessment of danger and route finding / path selection in terrain.



Before the practical avalanche course, you complete a course session online (live via zoom where you have the opportunity to ask questions).



The course is given in various locations around the world and is a perfect complement for those of you who have taken our evening course in avalanche knowledge and now want more practical knowledge and skills.



Following is included in the price:

Theory training online before the course (approx. 2 hours).

Full-day course with certified mountain guide or avalanche instructor / avalanche technician.

Avalanche equipment (shovel, probe and transceiver).



Following are not included:

Lift card.

Insurance for off-piste skiing.



Equipment list:

Ski equipment so you can move in the terrain

Clothes according to the weather.

Drinks & snacks for the day.
